Giles retrained as a coach after successful careers in both the Army and business.
After being invalided out due to damage to his right ear on active service he went into local newspaper advertising and within 2 years was running his own department. Looking for a greater challenge he bought a printing Franchise, Prontaprint Durham, and in partnership with his wife developed it over 18 years from simple printing to hi tech digital colour increasing the turnover from £100,000 to £970,000pa.
After successfully selling that business coaching was the obvious next step.

Giles's coaching style is to ask probing questions, listen to your answers and then ask follow ups. This helps clear your mind, set goals and be clear in what you want to do. Once you have decided what you want to do you are more likely to buy into it. Being told to do something often results in lower results.
